2. What we collect and why

We process the information needed to run the shop, take and deliver orders, answer enquiries, handle returns and warranty claims, and send communications you have requested. This may include your name, email address, delivery and billing details, phone number if provided, order and payment information, messages and product reviews.

Our legal grounds depend on the law that applies to you. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract for orders and related service, compliance with legal duties for required records, legitimate interests for security and operation, and consent where required for marketing or non-essential tracking.

3. Visits, market selection and security

When you visit the site, technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and time of access may be processed for operation, troubleshooting and security. We use the approximate country associated with your IP address to suggest a market and language. You can change the available country and language settings yourself.

The website uses HTTPS to protect data in transit. Our order tracking page may also process your order number and email address to identify the order you ask to view.

4. Orders and support

To fulfil an order we use contact, address, order and payment information to process payment, arrange delivery, send order updates and handle after-sales requests. We do not receive complete card numbers from the payment provider.

When you contact us, we use your message and any photos or order details you provide to answer you. We may pass shipment numbers and carrier information to a tracking provider to retrieve delivery updates. Some delayed-order communications sent through Klaviyo include the order number, items, delivery details and tracking status.

5. Who receives data

We share data only where it is needed for the relevant service. Depending on how you use the site, recipients include Shopify for the shop and checkout; the payment provider you choose; fulfilment and delivery partners; Klaviyo for email; Loox for reviews; Vercel for the tracking site; 17TRACK for carrier updates; and Supabase and Upstash for technical storage and caching used by the tracking service.

Limited destination and status information may be sent to Anthropic when the tracking service uses its AI-assisted routing or status feature. Google, Meta and WeTracked may receive analytics or advertising data where their tools are active and the necessary permissions have been given.

6. International transfers

Scaleflow Limited is based in the United States. Some of our providers are also based in the United States, Canada or other countries, so personal data may be processed outside the country where you live. The safeguards required for a transfer depend on the recipient and the law that applies. Contact us for information about the measures relevant to a particular transfer.

7. Email and marketing

If you sign up for marketing email, we use your email address and, if supplied, your name to send offers and news. Our signup forms may record the market and language you selected so that the messages are relevant to you. We may measure opens and clicks where permitted to understand how messages perform.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by writing to contact@altairluggage.com. This does not stop essential messages about an order you have placed.

8. Reviews

After a purchase, we may invite you to leave a product review. Taking part is optional. If you submit a review, the first name and any photo you choose to provide may be displayed with it.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies support the basket, checkout, security and other core shop functions. Other technologies may be used for preferences, analytics and advertising. Where consent is required, non-essential categories are used according to the choice you make in the cookie banner.

You can change that choice using Cookie preferences in the website footer. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential ones may affect the shop.

10. How long we keep data

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, including fulfilling your order, supporting you, protecting the service and meeting applicable record-keeping duties. The period depends on the type of information and the legal requirements that apply. Marketing details are generally kept until you unsubscribe unless a longer period is required for a specific lawful purpose.

11. Your rights

Your rights depend on the law that applies to you. Under the EU or UK GDPR, these may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to a data protection authority, including the authority in your EEA country or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

If Australian privacy law applies, you may request access to or correction of information we hold about you and make a privacy complaint. We will review your complaint and respond; if you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where it has jurisdiction. Other local laws, including those of the UAE, may give you additional rights.

12. Objecting to direct marketing

You may object to the use of your data for direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. We will stop using your data for that purpose.
